Frequently Asked Questions
1. How is the Library Funded?
The Osterville Village Library is a private, 501(c)(3) corporation that receives partial funding from the Town of Barnstable. This partial funding amounts to 35% of our operating budget. We can’t operate without it, but that still leaves us over $650,000 to raise every year. We raise some of that with our car raffle, golf tournament and other events, but still depend primarily on our annual appeal to bring in the bulk of that sum.
2. Do you have a Fax Machine/Shredder/Copy Machine?
Yes! Located in our Small Business Center we have a Fax/Copy/Scanner Machine, and a Shredder. On our lower level we have a Copy Machine. Ask one of our Librarians to show you where they are located.
3. Where do I go for assistance with technology?
One of our Reference Librarians would be more than happy to assist you. You may either drop in for a short session, or make an appointment for a longer, more involved problem.
